The Nvidia Tegra is the hot chip to hit the PMP and MP3 player scene. 50 Tegra devices are in the product pipes- from PMPs, mobile phones, media pads, and set top boxes. (If you are interested in the Tegra, there is a great video interview on Hexus discussing this .) So far only two have been publicly announced: the Zune HD and the Samsung M1. The M1 seems to be another worthy competitor and from the looks of the UI demos, it looks more like a successor to the P3- call it a Tegra enabled P3. The M1 has been released in Korea with Europe to follow next month. No word on a US release, but my guess would be that we might have to wait or it may not be release due to the inclusion of DMB. pzizz relax ($3) is a relaxation tool that builds a musical playlist based on a definable amount of time. The software uses a structured random algorithm that can create a different soundtrack every time it is used. The algorithm pulls from different inspiring quotes, sound effects, music, and binaural beats to create each soundtrack. Chordmaster LE (free) is a guitar chord dictionary that allows users to search for and view different fingerings. All chords are displayed on a virtual fretboard which can be set for both left and right handed diagrams and are organized by root, chord type and chord variant. The application also allows users to strum the chords or play individual strings to hear how each should sound. The free version allows users to display each chord in first position while the paid version offers variations for each chord. Jumpsoft Money (free) is a financial tool that can help a user track all of their transactions and maintain a budget. The tool allows users to create multiple accounts allowing users to keep cash, credit, and debit transactions separate. A budget can also be set within Jumpsoft Money and then tracked using the Budget Monitor tool. Other features include bill reminders, graphical representations of spending, and the ability to sync with the desktop version of Money. iSing ($1) allows users to record a short audio clip and then upload it for others to vote on. Users can sort through uploaded clips by the best or worst of the month, all time, or by location. Each clip can then be played on the device and voted thumbs up or down. Tapping on someone’s entry allows the user to bring up their profile and find out more about the singer. PhotoFame ($1) allows users to submit their photos to the South West News Service, a company who supplies national and global press with images and stories. According to the developers a large percentage of the photos that show up in newspapers are sent in by the public. There is even the possibility of being paid for the photo if it is selected for a news story. EA has announced an upcoming iPhone version of Madden NFL 10 , its current flagship sports game. The iPhone port includes all 32 NFL teams, and a collection of real-world stadiums; plays are narrated by John Madden as well as Tom Hammond and Cris Collinsworth. Gamers can compete in individual matches, or in a season mode which involves more elaborate strategy. Seasonal gameplay allows for roster management, trading players between teams, or picking from a collection of free agents. In the middle of a match gamers have access to Action Control Time, which lets users slow events down in other to adjust tactics. Unique to Madden on the iPhone are special touch controls, such the option of drawing custom passing plays. EA has not announced a price or a release date for the game. Jabra on Monday began shipping its latest Bluetooth A2DP compatible headset, the dual-microphone HALO, which was first introduced in April. The headset is compatible with BlackBerry handsets as well as Apple’s iPhone and second-generation iPod touch, and can sync with two devices simultaneously.
