EA debuts Clue, Life, Snood, Mass Effect for iPhone

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 120 views

EA’s Mobile division has released four new iPhone games: Clue , Life , Snood and Mass Effect Galaxy . The first two are recreations of their respective boardgames, with modern revisions. Clue brings in new weapons and suspects, along with built-in notetaking capabilities. Life is rendered in 3D, and supports pass-around multiplayer for up to three people. Clue is $3 at the App Store, while Life is $5. Snood is a port of the popular desktop game, in which players clear groups of critters from the top of the screen by matching them with ones fired from the bottom. New or old character designs can be used, and competition is possible either through Wi-Fi or Facebook hooks. Challenge notifications can be sent using push technology. The title is selling for $4, and includes 100 levels playable under five difficulty settings. Mass Effect Galaxy is loosely based on the original Mass Effect RPG for PCs and consoles, and tells a separate story in which players attempt to halt a biological terrorist attack. Combat switches to a top-down perspective, and conversations rely on a new comic book style, retaining their interactivity. The game is selling for $3. Tegra Powered Samsung M1 Demo Videos

The Nvidia Tegra is the hot chip to hit the PMP and MP3 player scene. 50 Tegra devices are in the product pipes- from PMPs, mobile phones, media pads, and set top boxes. (If you are interested in the Tegra, there is a great video interview on Hexus discussing this .) So far only two have been publicly announced: the Zune HD and the Samsung M1. The M1 seems to be another worthy competitor and from the looks of the UI demos, it looks more like a successor to the P3- call it a Tegra enabled P3. The M1 has been released in Korea with Europe to follow next month. No word on a US release, but my guess would be that we might have to wait or it may not be release due to the inclusion of DMB. Continue below for several videos of the M1. [ GenMP3 | LJdG | M1 Forums ]
