iPhone apps: 1Password Pro, iBody, iTweetReply
1Password Pro ($8) is a password management application for the iPhone and iPod touch. The software allows users to store and organize multiple passwords, and integrates with a web browser so that users only have to enter a password once. Additionally, The pro version features a special switching mode which allow users to quickly copy-and-paste credentials to Mobile Safari, and an option for synchronizing folders from 1Password for Mac. iBody ($8) can be used to track fitness data such as weight, body fat, blood pressure, pulse rate, and different sport activities. The software can tag a bicycle or jogging route using the GPS capabilities built into the iPhone and allows these routes to be saved and shared with others through an email. iBody also allows users to manage up to four separate accounts and have each protected with its own password. A recent update has improved customization options and now allowing users to show or hide any of the entry fields. iTweetReply ($2) is a mobile Twitter client with support for Apple’s Push Notification system. The application allows users to log into a twitter account, view their timeline, post tweets, share photos, and more. Push Notification can also be set up to forward @reply’s and direct messages to a user even when the application is not running. Brain Training Unotan ($4) contains a series of exercises that are supposed to help keep the brain active. The application includes 15 different exercises, all of which only take a couple of minutes to complete. The exercises were developed by Professor Makoto Shichida and are supposed to help improve memory retention, concentration, and intuition capabilities. Feedback is also provided to users on how they are developing in each of these areas based on their results from different exercises. aGPSPlayer ($1) can be used to assign playlists to different locations on a map. Users can set playlists to a location by tapping on the map and then when traveling the area only music from the designated playlist will be played. This could be used to set up an automated audio tour that plays different guides based on a users location.
