Android Powered Creative Zii Egg

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009 59 views

We saw the Zii Egg pass though the FCC a few weeks ago and today Creative has unveiled the Zii Egg development platform. While the Zii EGG is a finished product it is not quite ready for the consumer market. Creative is banking on developers to build applications and entire user experiences out of the Zii EGG hardware though Android and their own Linux based OS dubbed Plaszma. One of the big differences being that the Plaszma OS takes advantage of the Zii chips cell architecture. It will be interesting to see how other mp3 player manufactures respond to this with similar “phone like” platforms. Archos has been moving in that direction and Samsung might be too with the M1 or a non 3G version of an Omnia . It will be interesting to see who is going to follow this path. Will we see SanDisk get into the fray? Sony? Cowon? How much of an OS will the Zune HD be? These are definitely some exciting times for the portable media industry. The device is extremely well equipped with everything a high end smart phone has minus the cellular connection: 3.5” 320×480 16m color screen, 10 point multi touch capacitance, 1080p output, HD camera, front facing VGA camera, 3-axis accelerometer, wi-fi, GPS, light sensor, full size SDHC slot. Complete Digital Maintenance Important for Functionality

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009 92 views

One of the most annoying problems in current digital technology is being unable to see what a device is displaying. That’s why services such as ipod screen repair and iphone screen repair are very imperative. But mp3 players and cells are not the only devices that display information via a monitor. There are many digital related items viewed with displays which could at some point need adjusting. Think about the technology many people use. There are a few extremely popular digital mediums that could experience visual maintenance needs.

Think about all one can view through the lens of a PC monitor. Perhaps the most necessary item in anyone’s informational existence is the PC. With capabilities to help both the small and large company view all their records and files, the PC is something that very few companies can do without. Because of the complex inter-workings of the computer’s hardware, there are times when things can go wrong. One of many parts could suddenly malfunction, leaving the user unable to perform even the most mundane of tasks. Additionally, there are times when a system reload is necessary. Every now and then uploading can cause problems. Furthermore, operator error can often cause difficulties which are hard to adjust. Sometimes being unable to see files is as simple as switching out a monitor. Other times, it can be a much more complicated process. Even if one is not using a PC for business, just think about all the fun tools available to the casual user. Monitors are used for watching videos on YouTube, checking various websites of interest, sending emails, and viewing family photos. Being able to clearly access the web’s tools is critical to so many aspects of life.

A second area of items that are visual in scope are digital television options. When displays fail it can change viewing opportunities for the whole family. Cable and satellite providers compete for business. When people are making decisions about what service to sign up for, price is not always the only consideration. Reliability and dependability of product, and of service, play a large factor in decision making. Which service will be more productive with inclement weather? Which companies window of call hours is the smallest?

Yet another well used digital item is, of course, the hand-held organizer. For people with bus schedules, it is a wonderful convenience to be able to communicate anywhere and everywhere. Apart from the original cell communication services, hand-held communicators can email, text, and receive instant messaging. Since the inception of cell service network provision it has always been a frustration to receive a “no signal” message. What would be even more discouraging would be an inability to even view the display panel. Hand-held’s are extremely reliable, and overall pretty durable to everyday use and abuse. Like all technology, though, they do not always function at optimum potential.

Think about how often people use visual digital technology. Everyday, people, working and relaxing enjoy the visual services of PC’s, televisions, and hand-held communicators. Keeping these items well maintained is of utmost importance to their functionality and dependability.

iPod Repair Keeps Up with Technology

Monday, July 27th, 2009 176 views

The ipod repair business is growing at a record pace. And, of late, the iphone repair business is also in high demand. Thispresents two questions. First, who is utilizing maintenance? Second, why are these services necessary?

What do the following people have in common? Your sister. A friend. An instructor. Your neighbor. The person next to you on the plane. The man exercising on the treadmill. Chances are more than slim that each of these people enjoys the use of an mp3 player. It wasn’t so very long ago that no one was familiar with this type of personal music device. The decade of the 1970′s embraced vinyl, followed by the popular 8 track player. Music lovers in the 1980′s relied on cassette tapes, a more compact version of recorded music. The 1990′s found listening to music on compact discs, played on a variety of disc players. Now, slowly yet surely, this new millennium has ushered in the acceptance of the digital music player. With affordable price points and clear applications, people of all backgrounds can enjoy an mp3 player. Often, new technology is designed only with certain age demographic in mind. no such stereotyping with mp3 players. The functionality of the player is so user-friendly that even those who cut their teeth on the “old victrola” should have no problem comprehending the applications. The only thing that can impair the ease of use is when the technology breaks down. A music device that is not functioning properly is of no good to anyone. So, since most people own an mp3 player, what should these people do when their mp3 player isn’t working properly?

Think again about the number of folks who enjoy using their mp3 players. Most assuredly, the next thing these people have in common, is that their comprehension of it’s processes is almost non-existent. When something goes wrong with their device, often, there is no quick fix. Additionally, it is not something the average man, woman or child knows how to mend. In order to get the device working properly again, most people find it necessary to seek professional maintenance. Rather than throw away a device, which can be expensive and, more importantly, wasteful, it is a great option to look at having a professional company figure out what is wrong and then fix it. The likelihood exists that anyone who uses a digital music player will one day need some adjustments to their player. Despite the excellent technology, no player is completely error free. But don’t worry. Many parts and services are available. As the use of mp3 players continues to grow, so does the availability and reliability of maintenance services.

Are you in possession of an mp3 player? Do you use that mp3 device often? Despite the excellent technology available, at some point, your device may one day need maintenance. No problem. Even if you have no idea what is wrong with it, or what parts you would need to fix it, help is available. Don’t hastily shop and buy a new one. Look around for someone who can help you. You’ll be so glad you did.
