Altec Lansing ships Backbeat Pro headphones
Altec Lansing today expanded into more serious in-ear listening with its Backbeat Pro in-canal earphones. The set uses neoprene ear tips and dual flanges for a close fit to a wearer’s ear in order to isolate it from ambient noise. Each earpiece has a single armature but is characterized as balanced rather than emphasizing bass. The Backbeat Pros connect to any typical portable audio devices with 3.5mm minijacks and have a coating designed to reduce tangling. Altec Lansing?s earphones come in black and gold and are due out soon, priced at $100. They ship with a neoprene carrying case and four pairs of differently sized silicone ear tips along with the dual flange pair.
