As promised in late May , onOne has released DSLR Remote for the iPhone and iPod touch. When linked through a Wi-Fi network, the software lets users control Canon DSLRs at a distance. The Lite edition simply lets users trigger a camera and see the end result of photos; the more expensive Professional activates precise controls. Among these are shutter, aperture and white balance settings, and options for shooting at timed intervals. Latest-generation DSLRs can transmit real-time previews, reducing some of the need to return to a camera’s viewfinder. Professional is $10, whereas Lite is $2; supported cameras include all Rebel XT and XS models, the 20D through 50D, both versions of the 5D, and every 1D variant since the release of the Mark II. onOne notes that a future update will add Nikon compatibility.
