Apple has confirmed intentions to allow direct purchase of iTunes videos from an iPhone, sources close to the company’s training programs say. Originally a blogger is said to have discovered the option’s existence by accident , though users of the iPhone 3.0 beta can now gain a glimpse through a custom link . Graphics and downloads in the early browser are currently broken. The alleged confirmation comes by way of self-guided training packages, sent to AppleCare agents. Each kit details planned features of the iPhone 3.0 firmware, among these being direct iTunes video purchases. Traditionally iPhones and iPod touches have only been able to sync the material, after having connected to a Mac or PC. The timing of the kits is thought to be some of the earliest Apple has yet dared. “Apple never puts out product training this far ahead of a product launch,” one of the sources comments. Together the sources agree that the instructions are approximately six weeks early. Not mentioned in them however are connection options, which may be unlikely to include 3G. At present, even audio downloads over 3G are limited to 10MB. Any announcement for iTunes video is likely to happen at Apple’s next major press event, the WWDC keynote on June 8th. Interconnects, IC for short, are the cables that go between your player and another device with an input jack – a car stereo, home stereo, or a portable headphone amp. The problem with the latter of those setups is that the amp is often directly under the player and so you really only need 2cm of cable to make the connection, but they don’t make cables that short. As a result, a lot of people drag around long cables that are just inthe way. There’s no need to. Read on for a guide on how to make your own tiny bridge-interconnect.

Beats includes three tools that can help a DJ create smooth, and harmonically matched mixes. The BPM counter allows users to determine the BPM of a song by tapping the beat on the screen. The application then records each tap and averages the time between each to calculate the tempo. The metronome supports beat, duple, and triplet timing and includes four different sound sets, click, 808, 909, and live drums. The key mixing tool allows users to enter the key of the current song and provides feedback on what other keys will mix harmonically with it. Deckster ($1) provides a simulation of using a real deck of cards. When the application launches players are provided with a brand new deck of cards that is still boxed and sealed. Touch gestures can then be used to unwrap the deck and interact with the cards. The deck can be modified to contain only a certain set of cards and different gestures can then be used to deal, burn and shuffle the deck. EdiMon+ ($2) includes three mini games, Weight Lifting, Meditation, and Guessing, each which includes 5 levels of increasing difficulty. In the Weight Lifting game players must provide energy to the EdiMon character by tapping two buttons of the same color simultaneously, among a field of many buttons. The Meditation game has players trying to prevent EdiMon from breaking his meditative state by using the accelerometer to stop EdiMon from falling over. In the Guessing game, players must keep up with what EdiMon is thinking. A ?thought bubble? appears above EdiMon?s head which displays an object and then players must choose which objects match up with what they believe EdiMon is thinking. Zensify Preview (free) collects information from all of a users social networks into a single feed. The application features options for posting and viewing information from popular social networking sites, including, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Digg, Delicious, Photobucket and 12seconds. Zemsify also includes a built-in search function which allows users to keep track of conversations and topics across multiple networks. CardWar ($1) is an iPhone/iPod touch version of the classic card game War. Players compete against the computer by flipping cards one by one. Whoever flips the higher card takes the set and the first player to collect the entire deck wins. The game automatically tracks the current score and also saves the game state when the application is closed allowing users to continue their game at a later point in time. The international distribution of iPhone applications is not being handled properly at the App Store, one developer tells MacNN . Having launched a title called CameraUFO, Magno Urbano says he recently visited the US App Store to verify if his software was on sale. Although not at its main intended venue, the app could be found at a number foreign stores, though still not all of them. A similar problem is said to exist for several of Urbano’s older titles, such as GhostCamera, indicating that the issue is not only a matter of slow propagation. Of the developer’s 17 total apps , five are said to disappear when switching to the Chinese or Brazilian stores, even though some of them date back to 2008. The missing apps also fail to appear in direct searches, suggesting that they do not occur at all in some App Store databases. Although Urbano claims to have reported the inconsistencies to Apple, he argues that many developers could be losing substantial amounts of revenue. “I hope they can solve this soon,” he adds.
