The first iPod on the basis of LCD -displays LG will appear this year.

“We will begin delivery of 3,5-inch Zhk-panels till the end of 2008. I’ll notice also, that LG Display recently became the supplier of LCD-monitors for company Dell”, – chief executive LG Display Kwon the Eng-Sou has told.

“Our plan consists in investment of means in a new industrial line in the city of Gumi (South Korea, 260 km on the southeast from Seoul) to provide reliable deliveries to customers”, – he has told at a meeting with journalists and analysts.

Eng-sou has informed, that recently it met top management Royal Philips Electronics NV (Philips is co-head of LG Display) and has suggested the Amsterdam company to remain with number of strategic investors in joint venture.
