iPod Classic vs Zune: Microsoft is cheating
According to CNet testing results, neither Microsoft, nor Apple in their fair brochures did not publish the precise information of nonstop work of Zune 80GB player and iPod Classic 80GB player. But there is one big note, if Cupertino underestimates their parameters, Redmond - overestimates them.

According to both manufacturers, time of independent work of devices is about 30 hours while playing a music. However in practice appeared, that with switched-off Wi-Fi module, Zune from Microsoft “holds” only 22 hours, but with switched-on Wi-Fi module this parameter reduces up to 18,5 hours. So a real time is in one and a half time less than declared by Microsoft. Though it is necessary to admit, this is much more better than 13 hours of the first Zune version.
iPod classic 80GB in real work could play music for 45 hours and it is in one and a half time more than Apple’s official data.
Neither Apple, nor Microsoft have not commented these CNet results, but I think it’s Microsoft problem, not Apple.
